The substantive ones name a syllabus, an examination and a renewal requirement: EMRS, BBEC and BBNC from the Building Biology Institute, building-biology consultant training from IBN, CRadP/IRadP from the SRP for the UK, and industrial-hygiene credentials for workplace exposure. ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation is different in kind and stronger where it applies: it certifies a laboratory for a named measurement method rather than certifying a person, and it is what regulators require — in Switzerland only a firm on the SAS register may produce a compliance measurement under the NISV.",
