- Not an RF meter: nothing about Wi-Fi, cellular, smart meters or cordless phones can be measured with it
- A single-axis sensor, so a true magnitude needs the instrument rotated through all three room axes and cannot be read in one shot
- No logging, so an overnight or 24-hour record needs the maker's NFA series or an external recorder
- Electric-field readings depend on the measurement method and on where the operator stands; the potential-referenced and potential-free figures are not interchangeable
