# TriField EMF Meter TF2

> Three-mode meter with a three-axis AC magnetic mode over 40 Hz – 100 kHz to 100 mG, a single-axis AC electric mode to 1,000 V/m, an RF mode over 20 MHz – 6 GHz to 19.999 mW/m², and a frequency-weighted setting that scales the LF readings by frequency.

## Key values

- **Manufacturer:** AlphaLab, Inc.
- **Model:** TF2
- **Type:** Multi-field meter
- **Instrument class:** ELF gaussmeter (power-frequency magnetic field)
- **Quantities measured:** magnetic flux density, electric field strength, power density
- **Axes:** mixed
- **Peak hold:** Yes
- **On-device logging:** No
- **Market status:** Currently sold

## Frequency coverage by mode

One band per measuring mode, as the manufacturer states it.

- **magnetic flux density** — AC magnetic: 40 Hz – 100 kHz
- **electric field strength** — AC electric: 40 Hz – 100 kHz
- **power density** — RF: 20 MHz – 6 GHz

## Display range by mode

- **AC magnetic, three-axis** — 0.1 – 100.0 mG (resolution 0.1 mG)
- **AC electric, single-axis** — 1 – 1,000 V/m (resolution 1 V/m)
- **RF power density** — 0.001 – 19.999 mW/m² (resolution 0.001 mW/m²)

## Calibration

Manufacturer factory calibration; AlphaLab offers calibration as a service. No certificate is advertised with the meter.

## Suited to

- One instrument that covers all three field types for a walk-through of a home
- Three-axis magnetic readings that do not depend on how the meter is held
- Capturing pulsed digital signals with peak hold in RF mode

## What it cannot do

- The RF ceiling of 19.999 mW/m² is reached close to a strong transmitter, and the 6 GHz top end excludes 6 GHz Wi-Fi 6E/7 upper channels and mmWave 5G
- The magnetic mode tops out at 100 mG, below the field strength found next to some transformers and motors
- The electric-field mode is single-axis, unlike the magnetic mode
- The frequency-weighted setting is a body-current weighting, not the quantity exposure limits are expressed in: standard mode has to be used before comparing a reading with a limit in this dataset
- No frequency identification and no logging

## What these figures are

Every number on this page is the manufacturer's own declared specification, reproduced so that models can be compared field by field. Nothing here is an independent test of the instrument, a calibration certificate, or a statement that a reading taken with it can be compared with a regulatory limit — that depends on the detector, the averaging and, where it matters legally, an accredited calibration.
