Definition

Radiofrequency spans roughly 100 kHz to 300 GHz and includes broadcast, cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and radar. Above about 100 kHz the electric and magnetic components are linked, so exposure can be expressed interchangeably as electric field strength or power density, and the effect addressed by exposure limits is energy absorption and consequent heating.
