EMFields Acoustimeter AM-11
Single-axis broadband RF meter reading 200 MHz – 8 GHz with a peak display from 0.02 to 10.00 V/m and a true time-averaged display from 0.1 to 250,000 µW/m², plus an audio output for identifying sources by ear.

Calibration
Manufacturer-stated factory calibration with a five-year return-to-base warranty; no accredited calibration certificate is advertised.
Suited to
- Separating pulse peaks from time-averaged exposure, which is the distinction most exposure limits are written on: the average display is a true rolling mathematical average, not a peak scaled down
- Recognising DECT, Wi-Fi, GSM and TETRA by their sound signature
- Very low-level work: the manufacturer states audio is audible below 0.02 V/m
What it cannot do
- No low-frequency magnetic or electric field capability at all
- Nothing above 8 GHz — mmWave 5G is out of band
- Single-axis with a directional case: the manufacturer states it under-reads when the source is in front of the display, so orientation matters
- No numeric spectrum or frequency readout, so source attribution is by ear and by elimination
- No logging or PC output
What these figures are
Every number on this page is the manufacturer's own declared specification, reproduced so that models can be compared field by field. Nothing here is an independent test of the instrument, a calibration certificate, or a statement that a reading taken with it can be compared with a regulatory limit — that depends on the detector, the averaging and, where it matters legally, an accredited calibration.
