fieldSENSE60 personal RF monitor

Body-worn RF monitor with three orthogonal E and H probes covering 50 MHz to 60 GHz, shaped to the occupational reference levels of ICNIRP 2020, FCC/NCRP OET65, Canada Safety Code 6 and IEEE C95.1, reporting time-averaged exposure as a percentage of the selected standard.

Frequency coverage by mode

One band per measuring mode, as the manufacturer states it.

power density
50 MHz – 60 GHz, shaped occupational response
electric field strength
E field: three orthogonal probes, 50 MHz – 60 GHz
magnetic flux density
H field: assessed from 50 MHz – 1 GHz only

Display range by mode

Exposure indication
time-averaged RMS power density as a percentage of the selected occupational standard
Damage threshold
CW damage level 26 dB above the standard, i.e. 40,000% of the standard

Calibration

Traceable calibration process according to IEEE Std 1309-2013, with a manufacturer-stated three-year calibration interval.

Suited to

  • Warning a worker climbing a mast or working in front of an antenna that they have entered a field above the occupational reference level
  • Frequency coverage no consumer meter matches, up to 60 GHz, including mmWave 5G
  • Comparing exposure directly against a named standard, because the response is shaped to that standard rather than flat

What it cannot do

  • Reports against occupational reference levels, which are far higher than general-public limits: a low percentage on this device says nothing about a residential or precautionary target
  • Not suitable for radar applications, by the manufacturer's own statement
  • A shaped response is deliberately not a flat field measurement, so it cannot be read as a V/m or µW/m² survey figure
  • H-field contributions are assessed only from 50 MHz to 1 GHz
  • No low-frequency magnetic or electric field capability, and no source identification

What these figures are

Every number on this page is the manufacturer's own declared specification, reproduced so that models can be compared field by field. Nothing here is an independent test of the instrument, a calibration certificate, or a statement that a reading taken with it can be compared with a regulatory limit — that depends on the detector, the averaging and, where it matters legally, an accredited calibration.
