Calibration
Manufacturer-stated factory calibration. Ask for the current calibration statement before a reading has to stand up formally; the manual makes no accredited-laboratory claim.

- Room and sleeping-area RF surveys where a total exposure figure is wanted
- Detecting short pulsed transmissions — the manual claims response to pulses under 5 µs, which covers Wi-Fi and 5G bursts
- Identifying a source by ear through the built-in speaker before deciding what to change
What it cannot do
- No power-frequency magnetic or electric field measurement — wiring, transformers and power lines need a separate instrument
- Nothing above 8 GHz, so mmWave 5G at 24 GHz and above is invisible to it
- No spectrum display and no frequency counter: the reading is a total across the band, so it cannot say which service produced it
- Single-axis, so the reading depends on orientation; the meter has to be rotated to find the maximum
- No on-device logging, so a 24-hour record needs a different instrument or an external recorder
