Construction
Non-woven polyester (MILIFE) with copper/nickel metallisation and a surface finish, 37 ± 1 g/m², 7 ± 1 g/m² deposited metal, tensile strength 100 MD / 65 CD N per 50 mm, 1 m wide.

What the figure does not cover
- “Up to 65 dB” is a band maximum, not a value that holds across 30 MHz to 20 GHz, and no per-frequency curve is published with it
- At 37 g/m² the material is a thin non-woven; handling damage reduces attenuation invisibly
- The manufacturer states anti-corrosive treatment, but a metallised coating still abrades, so long-term performance is not the declared performance
- A technical layer rather than a finished shield: it needs conductive joining and an enclosure design to reach anything like the declared figure
What these figures are
Every attenuation value on this page is the manufacturer's own declaration for a flat sample in a test fixture, reproduced so that products can be compared on the same terms. It is not a regulatory limit, not an independent test, and not a prediction of what a meter will read after installation — an installed shield is set by its weakest path, so the only figure that describes a room is a before-and-after measurement of that room.
