YSHIELD PRO54 shielding paint
Carbon-fibre shielding paint declared at 37 dB in one coat and 43 dB in two coats at 1 GHz, and up to 93 dB at 40 GHz, formulated for hardness and non-staining rather than for the highest attenuation per coat.

Declared attenuation
Each figure is the manufacturer's declaration for the frequency and the layer or coat count named next to it. The percentage is computed from the dB value, not quoted separately.
- 1 GHz, one coat
- 37 dB — removes 99.980% of the incident power density (1 part in 5,012 gets through)
- 1 GHz, two coats
- 43 dB — removes 99.995% of the incident power density (1 part in 19,953 gets through)
- 40 GHz, manufacturer's stated maximum
- 93 dB — removes 100.000% of the incident power density (1 part in 2 × 10^9 gets through)
Test method
Manufacturer states measurement from 40/600 MHz to 40 GHz to ASTM D4935-10 or IEEE Std 299-2006, dB values quoted at 1 GHz unless a frequency is named. TÜV SÜD certified production.
Construction
Water-borne dispersion reinforced with carbon fibres for abrasion resistance without rub-off.
Typical application
- Interior walls and ceilings where the surface is handled or scrubbed
- Exterior facades with a suitable top coat
What the figure does not cover
- Lower declared attenuation per coat than the same manufacturer's HSF54 and ECO54: the trade-off bought by the carbon-fibre binder is mechanical, not electromagnetic
- The 93 dB figure is at 40 GHz and says nothing about performance in the cellular and Wi-Fi bands most exposure comes from
- Must be grounded; an ungrounded conductive coating can increase the low-frequency electric field in the room
- Declared on flat samples, so seams, windows and penetrations are excluded from the number
What these figures are
Every attenuation value on this page is the manufacturer's own declaration for a flat sample in a test fixture, reproduced so that products can be compared on the same terms. It is not a regulatory limit, not an independent test, and not a prediction of what a meter will read after installation — an installed shield is set by its weakest path, so the only figure that describes a room is a before-and-after measurement of that room.

A conductive coating applied to walls and ceilings, quoted at 30–40 dB in the cellular bands; it must be bonded to a grounded conductive strip to also control low-frequency electric fields.
Shielding & remediation
- Shielding attenuation
Decibels of field reduction provided by a material. Every 10 dB is a factor of 10 in power density: 30 dB removes 99.9%, 10 dB removes 90%.
