Frequency coverage by mode
One band per measuring mode, as the manufacturer states it.
- magnetic flux density
- 16 Hz – 100 kHz, switchable 16 Hz – 2 kHz band
- electric field strength
- 16 Hz – 100 kHz, switchable 16 Hz – 2 kHz band
Display range by mode
- AC magnetic flux density
- displayed in nT, with the building-biology target under 200 nT and preferably under 20 nT
- AC electric field strength
- displayed in V/m, potential-referenced or potential-free
Calibration
Manufacturer factory calibration; recalibration is offered by Gigahertz Solutions. No accredited certificate is supplied with the meter.
Suited to
- Bedroom and workplace surveys of wiring, transformer and appliance fields, including the potential-free electric-field method building-biology protocols ask for
- Splitting a reading between the mains band and the harmonic/VLF band with the 2 kHz filter, which is how a dirty-electricity contribution shows up
- Tracing a field back to a circuit by ear while a second person switches breakers
What it cannot do
- Not an RF meter: nothing about Wi-Fi, cellular, smart meters or cordless phones can be measured with it
- A single-axis sensor, so a true magnitude needs the instrument rotated through all three room axes and cannot be read in one shot
- No logging, so an overnight or 24-hour record needs the maker's NFA series or an external recorder
- Electric-field readings depend on the measurement method and on where the operator stands; the potential-referenced and potential-free figures are not interchangeable
What these figures are
Every number on this page is the manufacturer's own declared specification, reproduced so that models can be compared field by field. Nothing here is an independent test of the instrument, a calibration certificate, or a statement that a reading taken with it can be compared with a regulatory limit — that depends on the detector, the averaging and, where it matters legally, an accredited calibration.
Where to buy
EMR Shielding Solutions is a related company of WebKMS, which publishes EMFBase, and sells this product. The link is a stockist listing only: every figure on this page comes from the manufacturer's own documentation, and no specification, limitation or citation depends on it.
